about

This is an experimental percussion record.
We taped 999 pink vibrators to an installment of the Danh Vo sculpture "We the People" in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
It took about 8 hours.
Random passers by began to tape them on as well.
Children began to tape them on.
We did not know what to do.
This is a recording of what the massive, copper sculpture sounded like covered in 999 vibrators.
It made very peculiar and unexpected over tones and if you turned the microphone while recording,
you could play a little peculiar and unexpected melody.
This is also recordings of Nantapol and Pruan Panicharam, father and son Thai gold pounders making gold leaf using enormous brass hammers.
This is also recordings of single vibrators on gongs and bells made during the Danh Vo/Xiu Xiu collaboration "METAL" at the Kitchen.
This is also recordings of artist, Christine Sun Kim's, voice.
This will be best if you are wearing good headphones.
If you don't have any maybe get some.
It will change your life.
Sennheiser's are good bet.
Also shooting a cap gun near your ear 100 times in a row so you never need them in the first place is a good bet.
